Minehead Group's May 2024 newsletter newsletter

Our May newsletter sets out a number of actions that we can all take this month; some relate particularly to South Asia and some are addressed to the UK government. One of these urges the Prime Minister to ensure that UK nationals are supported and protected when placed under arbitrary detention abroad. Currently, our Government lacks a coherent strategy to deal with such cases.

In May, our group held a successful letter writing afternoon using the Real Lives Supplement issued by AIUK. Members also enjoyed participating in the interesting and very well organised South West Regional conference in Exeter.
